Jennifer Flowers

“One of my earliest memories is going through my parent’s photo albums of the horses they owned before I was born, and counting down the days until I was old enough to get my own. Horses have been in our family since the beginning. Even before I was old enough to go to school, I remember watching the driveway outside of our Illinois home, and seeing my brother Sean, come up the road with one of the horses from the stable that he worked at. He used to ride them up to the house so I could come outside and feed it carrots, because I still wasn’t old enough to begin riding lessons. Passion for horses has been a part of me since as long as I can remember and I am so fortunate that I get to work with these amazing animals and alongside my family every day.”

Jennifer is a current competitor in the Open Divisions of the USDF and USEF. She has also competed in USEA, NCHJA and USHJA rated shows at the “C” through “AA” Levels.

In addition to her accomplishments as a rider and trainer, Jennifer has coached riders of all ages to National and local Championships including the USDF GAIG Regional Championships, BLM Championships and the American Eventing Championships. Many of Jennifer’s young riders have also gone on to earn riding scholarships in Dressage and jumping from St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Virginia Intermont College, and Lake Erie College.

So with all this background, what is next for Jennifer?

“I have made plans to further focus my riding into the dressage discipline. To enable this we have made plans to expand our operations with a larger staff and additional facilities. Due to our expanded program, we have a few openings for additional horses in training and/or riders in training. Come be a part of the team at Jennifer Flowers Dressage and share in the excitement that 2013 and beyond will bring us.”
